If you have some unique needs, are a business, or even an agent, you may want to notice some of these real and fabricated policies. Why? There are a lot of real specialty insurance policies that can actually help protect and grow your own business, protect your unique enterprises, and even help you do business in a new way. You may think that you can only buy a policy off the shelf. But many insurers and agencies are able to customer tailor your coverage. This could be true if you need a policy for business or personal use. One example describes a large auto dealer who offered a large rebate on new purchases if it snowed on Christmas. They actually managed to buy insurance to protect themselves in case it did snow on that holiday. Another common example is for the purchase of a luxury home. Yes, the rich have different insurance needs too. The home, and the high end contents, may not be well covered by a typical home policy. The owner of a luxury home may need specialized appraisals and underwriting, and there are specialty insurers who offer this.
